For the Surpassing Worth of Knowing Christ
Do you hear the heartbeat of creation’s song? Do you hear the anthem of His people’s praise? Shh…listen. It is all around you. It is filling the air, it is blessing this ground.
The saints are singing a new song unto their worthy God!
Are you singing?
As humans we live in a world that is temporarily ruled by a king of darkness. This darkness leads us to utter blindness. And the paradox of the darkness is that we must acknowledge it to be rid of it.
We must acknowledge our blindness.
For who can give sight to a man who sees? And God wills that we see what the blind men see.
We live in a world of broken nights. We live in a land of shattered hearts. Our lives are endless poems without rhymes; tapestries unraveling in a tangled storm.
But this is our hope, that one day Christ will return. And on that day all the praise will go to Jesus.
All the praise. . .to Him alone.

Sin is a tragedy. A terrible, heartbreaking tragedy. And it should disgust us. It should make us cry in passion and tremble in heartache.
Does your world feel heavy, friends? Mine does sometimes. Sometimes the world feels like a backpack that has new books added to it every morning. There are some good books in there, but eventually they all add up. The truth is that the world is heavy.
Too heavy for us.
But here’s an enlightening fact: it’s not ours to hold.
